Elder Jeffrey R. Holland featured at Church Educational System fireside Sept. 12

Elder Jeffrey R. Holland, a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, will speak at a Church Educational System fireside Sunday, Sept. 12, at 6 p.m. in the Marriott Center on the Brigham Young University campus.

The fireside will be broadcast live on the BYU-Television and BYU-Radio satellite networks, and on www.lds.org.

The fireside will be rebroadcast Sunday, Sept. 19, on KBYU-TV (Channel 11) at 6 and 11 a.m., on BYU-Television at 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., on BYU-Radio at 6 p.m. and on KBYU-FM (89.1) at 8 p.m.

Elder Holland was ordained a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles on June 23, 1994. Prior to this call, Elder Holland was a member of the First Quorum of the Seventy, to which he had been called on April 1, 1989.

He also served as president of Brigham Young University from 1980 until his call to the First Quorum of the Seventy in 1989.

BYU planetary geology professor Jani Radebaugh’s contributions to planetary science have reached cosmic proportions as she recently received the prestigious honor of having a minor planet named her. The asteroid, previously known as “45690,” now bears the name “45690janiradebaugh” on official NASA/JPL websites.
