Elder Jensen was called to full-time Church service June 6, 1992, being named to the Second Quorum of the Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. After his release, he returned to the Church Educational System where he worked as director of curriculum. He also served for a time as director of training for the Missionary Department.

Born in Mapleton, Utah, Elder Jensen received his bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees from BYU.
