Elder Earl C. Tingey to speak at BYU devotional June 5

Elder Earl C. Tingey of the Presidency of the Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will address the Brigham Young University communityduring the university’s weekly devotional Tuesday, June 5 at 11:05 a.m. in the de Jong Concert Hall, Harris Fine Arts Center.

The devotional will be broadcast live on the BYU Broadcasting channels. For rebroadcast information, visit byubroadcasting.org.

Elder Tingey was called as a member of the Quorum of the Seventy in 1990. Before serving in the Presidency of the Seventy, he served as president of the Utah South Area and as a counselor in the Africa Area presidency. He has also served as a bishop, as president of the Australia Sydney Mission and as a regional representative.

Prior to being called as a general authority, Elder Tingey worked as a corporate attorney for a number of major corporations, including the Kennecott Corporation, for more than 25 years in New York City and Utah.
