Elder Anthony D. Perkins at BYU devotional Feb. 4

Elder Anthony D. Perkins of the First Quorum of the Seventy in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will speak at the Brigham Young University campus devotional Tuesday, Feb. 4, at 11:05 a.m. in the Marriott Center.

The devotional will be broadcast live on the BYU Broadcasting channels and online at byutv.org. Rebroadcast information can be found through byutv.org/schedule. Archived devotionals are available at speeches.byu.edu.

At the time of his call to serve in the First Quorum of the Seventy, Elder Perkins was  president of the Taiwan Taipei Mission.

He served for five years in the Asia Area Presidency, with three years as president. He is now serving at Church headquarters. Elder Perkins has served in a number of Church callings, including full-time missionary in the Taiwan Taipei Mission, district presidency, branch president, ward clerk, elders quorum president and teacher of Gospel Doctrine and seminary. He was called to the First Quorum of the Seventy in 2006.

Prior to his call as mission president, Elder Perkins worked 15 years for the international management consulting firm McKinsey & Company, the last eight years as a senior partner in Beijing, China. He earned an MBA and a master's degree in Asian studies from The Wharton School and the University of Pennsylvania after completing undergraduate studies in finance at BYU.
