Diane Thueson Reich to present BYU faculty vocal recital Jan. 12

Brigham Young University School of Music faculty artist Diane Thueson Reich, soprano, will present a solo recital on Saturday, Jan. 12, at 3:30 p.m. in the Madsen Recital Hall.

Admission to the performance will be free and the public is welcome to attend.

Reich will be accompanied by faculty members Larry Blackburn, piano, and Jaren Hinckley, clarinet.

The concert will feature pieces in classic to contemporary styles, including “Chi sa, chi sa, qual sia” and “Ch’io mi scordi di te? …non temer, amato bene” by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart; “Extase,” “Le Manoir de Rosemonde” and “Chanson triste” by Henri Duparc; “Der Hirt auf dem Felsem” by Franz Shubert; “To Daffodils,” “I Never Saw a Moor,” “May’s Love” and “Mrs. Noah’s aria” from “Hotel Eden” by Henry Mollicone; and “Quando m’en vo” from “La Boheme “by Giacomo Puccini.
