A. Dean Larsen Book Collecting Conference March 27 at BYU

Brigham Young University students and the public are invited to attend the A. Dean Larsen Book Collecting Conference Friday, March 27, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. in the Harold B. Lee Library.

Registration is $15, and students can register through Monday, March 23. The fee includes four seminars, a luncheon with a speaker and a printed conference keepsake program.

Conference attendees will learn about different book collecting strategies and print culture. Seats are available in American sports memorabilia, 20th-century LDS music, Robert Burns and Scottish literature and World War I literature workshops.

As part of the conference, nationally known book artist and calligrapher Rosie Kelly will present “Marrying the Text to the Page” Thursday, March 26, in the library auditorium. Co-sponsored by the University of Utah Book Arts Program and the Utah Calligraphic Artist Guild, this program is open to the public as well as conference attendees.
