Name: David Moore
BYU employee since: 2008
My job at BYU is… I am a professor in the J. Reuben Clark Law School. Currently I am also serving as the associate dean of Academic Affairs and Research. As an associate dean, I provide support for my colleagues' research, foster the intellectual environment at the law school and help with the development and implementation of academic policies.

Currently I’m… expanding my research beyond U.S. foreign relations law to include issues of international development.
I’m currently reading… Amartya Sen's Development as Freedom.
I became a BYU fan… in utero. Both of my parents are graduates of BYU and are avid BYU fans. So are all but one of my eight siblings. We hold out hope for my youngest brother–who likes to wear red.
My go-to BYU Creamery ice cream flavor is… Pralines and Caramel.
I love to find… ethnic restaurants—Ethiopian, Peruvian, Korean, El Salvadorian, Thai, whatever. Often when I am in Washington, D.C., I try to visit my favorite Ethiopian restaurant. I have learned that I am not a big fan of Ghanian fufu. Other than that, I like food that is not only tasty but also interesting.
You’ll never find me without… something to read.
One item on my bucket list is… to visit Israel with my wife, Natalie.
How did you meet your wife? I graduated twice from BYU single (B.A. and J.D.). My wife also graduated single from BYU. We met for the first time in Washington, D.C. The first six times we were together we were in six different states. We have seven children ages 3 to 12. While we never got to live in Wymount, we have learned that no blessing will be denied the faithful. Several years ago, I was called to serve as the bishop of a ward in Wymount. So we finally got to be in a Wymount ward.
