I get most excited about coaching when... I see my players play their best. When the girls play their best and get the best results, it all comes together.
The best advice I've ever gotten about coaching is... coach to your personality. There are many successful ways to coach, but being true to your personality will get you the best results.
I've been a BYU fan since... birth. My parents went to BYU, I was born in Provo and I also attended BYU. I'm a True Blue Cougar.
My favorite spot on campus is... South Field on a full night with 5,000 people in the stands, playing a good opponent. Doesn't get much better than that.
My go-to comfort food is... a cheeseburger with fries. After every win, I treat myself to a #2 at McDonalds.
You'll never find me without... a watch. With the job, training and camps, watches are apart of what I do.
My most cherished memory at BYU was... back in 2012 when we played North Carolina. We had just beat Auburn to move us on to play in the Elite 8. People were already in the stands when we got on the field to warm up. The energy from the crowd and from the players was palpable. In the end, we didn't win the match, but it was one of the most unbelievable coaching experiences of my life.
On Saturday mornings you'll find me... on a soccer field somewhere in the country recruiting players.
My favorite work of fiction is... The Sound of Music. I actually had the opportunity to travel to Switzerland, Austria and Prague with the team. We got to go to the church where Maria and Captain Von Trapp were married and to the river that Maria and the kids fell into after being surprised by their father's return home.
One item on my bucket list is... to fly in a fighter jet. My favorite part of sporting events is when the jets fly overhead.
