Computerized Genealogy Conference at BYU March 26-27

Offered in conjunction with Family History Technology Workshop March 25

A conference focusing on the use of technology to enhance traditional genealogy methods will be held March 26 and 27 at the BYU Conference Center on the Brigham Young University campus.

The Computerized Genealogy Conference will include sessions covering genealogy software programs, computer databases, e-mail and the Internet. The goal of the conference is to show how computers can simplify and enhance genealogical research.

The sessions are designed to help participants get the most out of the programs they already have, as well as evaluate programs they may want to acquire.

Registration information is available online at http://ce.byu.edu/cw/cwcompu/2004/registration.dhtm, or by calling (801) 378-8925. Credit is also available for interested participants.

This conference is offered in conjunction with the fourth annual Family History Technology Workshop sponsored by the BYU Computer Science Department Thursday, March 25, from 8:15 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. also in the BYU Conference Center.

The Computerized Genealogy Conference is sponsored by BYU Religious Education, the BYU History Department, the Center for Family History and Genealogy, the BYU Computer Science Department, the LDS Family History Library and BYU's Division of Continuing Education.
