Computerized Genealogy Conference at BYU March 10-11

Brigham Young University will host its annual Computerized Genealogy Conference all day Friday and Saturday, March 10-11, in the BYU Conference Center.

Designed to be a how-to guide for beginning, intermediate and advanced researchers, the conference will also discuss how advancements in computer programs have revolutionized genealogical and family history work.

The featured presenters for the conference include Curt B. Witcher and Alan Mann, among many others. Witcher works as the department manager for the Historical Genealogy Department of the Allen County Public Library in Fort Wayne, Ind. He serves as director of the Federation of Genealogical Societies, and he served as president of the National Genealogical Society.

Mann works as a manager of the Family History Library in Salt Lake City and is an accredited genealogist researcher in England, the Channel Islands and Australia.

Participants in the conference will have the unique opportunity to meet with fellow genealogists and computer enthusiasts, as well as learn from leaders in the genealogy computer world.
