Computerized Family History, Genealogy Conference at BYU March 14-15

The Eleventh AnnualComputerized Family History and Genealogy Conference is scheduled for Fridayand Saturday, March 14 and 15, at the Conference Center at Brigham YoungUniversity.

This conference isdesigned to help everyone from beginning to advanced researchers. More than 50classes are available to help participants learn about advancements in computerprograms, research techniques, managing genealogical databases, digitalphotographs and using the Internet for family history research.

More than 600 participantsattended the conference last year.

Some of the mainpresenters for this conference include Paul Allen, CEO of World Vital Records;Alan Mann, IT manager, Family History Library of The Church of Jesus Christ ofLatter-day Saints, Salt Lake City; Kory Meyerink, family history professor atBYU and vice president, ProGenealogist; Tim Sullivan, CEO,Ancestry; Rick Crume,author and family history presenter; and Pat Richley, creator of Dear Myrtle.

In addition,representatives from BYU’s Family and Church History Department will discusshow to effectively use LDS Church family history programs. Classes will be heldby vendors of products that aid in family history work.

BYU landscaping students dig their way to 10th national championship
