Cecilia Peek to present BYU devotional address Nov. 9

Cecilia Peek, an associate professor of humanities, classics and comparative literature at BYU, will be the devotional speaker Tuesday, Nov. 9, at 11:05 a.m. in the Marriott Center at Brigham Young University.

The address will be broadcast live on the BYU Broadcasting channels and at byub.org. Visit byub.org/devotionals or speeches.byu.edu for rebroadcast and archive information.

Her research interests include Hellenistic and Roman history, Greek and Latin prose literature and classical historiography. She received a bachelor’s degree in classical literature, from BYU; a master’s degree in ancient history and Mediterranean archaeology from the University of California–Berkeley; and a doctorate in ancient history and Mediterranean archaeology from University of California–Berkeley.
