Catherine Black to speak on miracles at BYU devotional

Catherine Black, professor of dance at Brigham Young University, will encourage students on the topic "Don't Miss the Miracle" Tuesday at 11:05 a.m. in the Marriott Center where she will address the university devotional.

The devotional will be broadcast live on the BYU Broadcasting channels. For rebroadcast information, visit byubroadcasting.org.

Professor Black earned a master of fine arts degree at the University of Utah and has been a BYU faculty member since that time.

Born in Edmonton, Alberta, to immigrant parents and raised in the Russian Orthodox faith, Black joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1973.

Her message will focus on a range of miracles that led her to establish contact with relatives in the lands of her ancestors and to adopt two young girls with remarkable ties to her family.
