Campus closure, parking restrictions listed for August Commencement

In conjunction with August Commencement, most campus offices will close at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 11.

Please be aware that there will be no parking from midnight Wednesday, Aug. 10, through Thursday, Aug. 11 at 4:30 p.m. in lot 1A north of the Smoot Building and in a small portion of the timed parking lot 2A north of the Museum of Art. Vehicles parked in those locations during those hours will be towed.

Also, because of some unexpected soft spots in lot 16 west of the Smoot Building, Physical Facilities will not be able to complete renovations to that lot until Monday, Aug. 15. Please plan accordingly for Commencement and College Convocations.

All faculty members are invited to march in the processional beginning at 3:30 p.m. Faculty should be on either the west or east side of the Smoot Building by 3:25 p.m. In the event of inclement weather, faculty should go directly to the Marriott Center by 3:45 p.m. Line marshals will direct faculty to reserved chair seating on the playing floor.
