Call for proposals for 2010 Biennial Restoration Scripture Conference

Brigham Young University’s Neal A. Maxwell Institute for Religious Scholarship has issued a call for paper proposals to be considered for presentation at the 2010 Biennial Restoration Scripture Conference, to be held at BYU during fall semester 2010.

Proposals must be received or postmarked on or before Dec. 31 to be eligible for consideration. Papers presented at this conference, titled “Symbolism in Scriptures,” will contribute to a better understanding of the scriptures by focusing on different types and forms of symbolism.

Paper proposals should be no longer than one page and should include a brief description of the thesis of the paper, some idea of how participants intend to approach their chosen topic, the kinds of sources applicants are planning to consult and the working title of the paper.

Proposals can be mailed to Paul Hoskisson, Neal A. Maxwell Institute for Religion Scholarship, BYU, Provo, UT 84602; or e-mailed to paul_hoskisson@byu.edu. Individuals submitting proposals will be notified of their acceptance by the end of January 2010. If accepted, final papers must be submitted by the end of April 2010.

For more information, contact Paul Hoskisson at (801) 422-4329.
