BYU's Young Company presents Shakespeare's "Cymbeline" Sept. 16-18

Brigham Young University's Young Company/Theatre for Young Audiences will present a one-hour adaptation of "Cymbeline" by William Shakespeare directed by Christopher Clark.

Performances run Thursday through Saturday, Sept. 16-18, in the Nelke Theatre at 7:30 p.m. with a 2 p.m. matinee Sept. 18.

Tickets are available through the Fine Arts ticket office at (801) 378-4322 or at www.byu.edu/hfac for $9 with $3 off with student ID.

"Cymbeline" falls under the category of tragicomedy along with other Shakespearean classics such as "The Winter's Tale" and "The Tempest."

The play is a tale of one mishap after another in the court of King Cymbeline, beginning with the secret marriage of his betrothed daughter to an Italian-born orphan.

"Cymbeline" cast members will tour elementary schools throughout the year as part of their training in The Young Company. They will visit schools along the Wasatch Front in both Utah and Salt Lake Counties.

Cast members include Amelia Schow, Spencer Green, Tim Hall, Matt Haws, Brittany Howard, Jenny Latimer, Stephanie Speed, Adam Stallard and Adrian Thayn.

The production team features show manager Rebeca Wallin, costume director Amelia Schow and fight director George Nelson.
