BYU's Q'd Up faculty jazz to perform Jan. 21

Q'd Up, the Brigham Young University School of Music faculty jazz quintet, will perform Wednesday, Jan. 21, at 7:30 p.m. in the Harris Fine Arts Center’s Madsen Recital Hall.

The concert is free, and tickets are not required.

With more than 25 different instruments under their command, Q’d Up members include Ray Smith on woodwinds, Ron Brough and Jay Lawrence on percussion, Steve Lindeman on keyboards and Matt Larson on bass.

The concert will include original works by Lawrence and Lindeman, including “Sparks Flying,” “Timpanogos Snowfall” and “Viking Woman.”
