BYU's Marriott School hosts annual Management Conference June 24-26

The Marriott School of Management will host its 9th Annual Brigham Young University Management Conference June 24–26. Nationally recognized speakers will discuss principles for building outstanding leaders in organizations, communities and families. Special entertainment and evening activities are planned for the whole family.

Participants can earn continuing professional education or university credit through two full days of plenary and breakout sessions. Special registration pricing is available for BYU or LDS Church employees by calling 801-378-8925. The conference will be held in the BYU Conference Center.

Some of this year's keynote presenters include Dell President and COO Kevin Rollins, Bain Capital Managing Director Robert Gay, former Houston City Chief Administrative Officer Al Haines, Senator Orrin Hatch, and former BYU football star and TV Sports Anchor Vai Sikahema.

"The Management Conference is an excellent way to interact with some of the innovative leaders and creative managers shaping the business world today," says Marriott School Dean Ned C. Hill. "The conference provides a prime opportunity to refine general management skills and add depth to a particular business specialization."

Instructional tracks available this year include general management, personal development and family relations, entrepreneurship and accounting and information systems. Nursery (1–5 yrs), preteen (6–13 yrs) and teen (14–18 yrs) programs are also available for families. This year the teen program will be joining EFY (Especially for Youth) activities. Register early to reserve space.

Thursday evening features a traditional barbeque with live entertainment by Reprise, an award-winning a cappella quartet. The Friday evening closing banquet will feature President Cecil O. Samuelson as guest speaker. Saturday morning concludes the conference with the annual golf tournament at The Ranches, Utah's newest scenic golf course.
