This spring the Harold B. Lee Library at Brigham Young University will launch a new homepage. During winter semester the library beta-tested a new home page featuring ScholarSearch, a second- generation search engine.
The new page with ScholarSearch has impressed focus groups with its ability to return more reliable results for scholarly research.
Until the switch is made, faculty, staff and students who are interested in the next generation of research tools are invited to try the beta site at new.lib.byu.edu.
The new ScholarSearch page will use the same Web address users are familiar with, lib.byu.edu. To facilitate the change, the classic Web page will be accessible through a link on the new page until users have had time to make the transition.
