BYU's Dean Busby to discuss LDS couples at annual lecture Oct. 20

This year’s Virginia Cutler Lecture sponsored by the Brigham Young University College of Family Home and Social Sciences and the School of Family Life will feature Dean Busby Thursday, Oct. 20, at 7 p.m. in 250 Spencer W. Kimball Tower.

Busby, a professor in the School of Family Life, will present a lecture titled “Are LDS Couples Really Different? Considering the Influence of Religion on Couple Attitudes, Behaviors and Outcomes.” The event is free and the public is welcome to attend.

Virginia Cutler, a BYU alumna and former faculty member, left an endowment to the university making the lecture series possible. The support of her descendants has continued to make the series a successful forum for discussion of family development topics.

BYU’s space ace: Minor planet named in honor of Jani Radebaugh

BYU planetary geology professor Jani Radebaugh’s contributions to planetary science have reached cosmic proportions as she recently received the prestigious honor of having a minor planet named her. The asteroid, previously known as “45690,” now bears the name “45690janiradebaugh” on official NASA/JPL websites.
