BYU's danceEnsemble to present original works Nov. 17-18

The Brigham Young University Department of Dance’s danceEnsemble, a modern dance troupe specializing in student choreography, will perform its fall concert Friday and Saturday, Nov. 17-18, at 7:30 p.m. in 166 Stephen L. Richards Building.

Admission will be $6. Tickets can be purchased from the Fine Arts Ticket Office, by calling (801) 422-7664 or by visiting performances.byu.edu.

The show, called “Polarity,” will incorporate two pieces by Andy Noble, a former dancer with the Repertory Dance Theatre in Salt Lake City.

The group will also premiere two works by BYU faculty members, including a number set to music by the Muppets and featuring large puppets, choreographed by Julie Ahlander.

Rounding out the program will be Tiffany Braniff’s “Executive Order 9066,” Jessie Wilcox’s “Ciego,” Kristen Jeppsen’s “Unexpectations” and other selections.

For more information, contact Pat Debenham at (801) 422-3340.
