BYU Women to host local artist March 8

February 27, 2003

BYU Women will meet Saturday (March 8) at 2 p.m. in room 2258 of the Brigham Young University Conference Center for a program titled Creating Illustrations for the World of Faith.

Kathy B. Peterson, an artist and illustrator whose work has appeared in books and in galleries throughout Utah, will provide the artwork and commentary for the show. BYU student Kristin Green will provide music and a piano solo during the event.

A short business meeting is also scheduled.

All BYU employees and spouses of employees are welcome to attend.

BYU Women was founded in 1914 when President George H. Brimhall called five women to provide a more consistent social support to the faculty. It grew throughout the century and now boasts a potential membership of 4,700 women.
