BYU Women to hear from Utah Shakespearean Festival founder March 8

Fred Adams, founder of the Utah Shakespearean Festival, will lecture in the BYU Women March meeting on Saturday, March 8, at 2 p.m. in the multi-purpose room of the Hinckley Center at Brigham Young University.

Adams created the Shakespearean Festival in 1961, and the first season began in 1962 at what was then the College of Southern Utah. In 2000, after years of successful growth, the festival was the recipient of the Regional Theatre Tony Award.

BYU Women meet one Saturday of each month during the academic school year.

All women who are full-time employees at Brigham Young University or are spouses of current or former full-time employees are invited to attend. Refreshments will be served. Admission is free.

For more information, call Karen Griggs at (801) 422-5708.
