BYU Women announces 2013-2014 meeting schedule

BYU Women is sponsoring a series of lectures throughout the school year to promote friendship and learning. This year’s theme is “Education in Zion.”  

BYU employees and their spouses are welcome to attend. Membership information will be provided at all events. The events include:

  • Elaine Brewster, “Faith in the Past and Hope for the Future – A Message to Us from Three Pioneers,” Saturday, Sept. 14, at 1 p.m. in the Hinckley Visitors Center  
  • Gary Browning, “To Russia with Love as Mission President and Patriarch,” Saturday, Oct. 19, at 1 p.m. in  410 Tanner Building
  • Paul L. Anderson, “Behind the Scenes at BYU’s Museum of Art,” Saturday, Nov. 9, at 1 p.m. in  410 Tanner Building.
  • Luncheon with Donald W. Parry, “Angels: Agents of Power,” Saturday, Dec. 14, at noon at the WSC Skyroom restaurant
  • James R. Kearl, “The Irony of Jerusalem: City of Peace, City of Conflict,” Saturday, Jan. 11, at 1 p.m. in 410 Tanner Building
  • Ann Cannon, “Turning Molehills into Mountains,.” Saturday, Feb. 8, 1 p.m. in  410 Tanner Building
  • C. Terry Warner, “Education in Zion,” Saturday, March 8, 1 p.m., in  410 Tanner Building
  • Luncheon with Steven Kapp Perry, “Faith in the Past and Hope for the Future,” Saturday, April 12, at noon at the WSC Skyroom restaurant

Associate academic vice presidents appointed at BYU

Academic Vice President Justin Collings has appointed Brad L. Neiger as associate academic vice president to serve as school of medicine liaison and Kendra Hall-Kenyon as associate academic vice president for faculty relations.
