BYU Wind Symphony, Symphonic Band plan Feb. 14 concert

The Wind Symphony and Symphonic Band will perform on Wednesday, Feb. 14, at 7:30 p.m. in the de Jong Concert Hall in the Harris Fine Arts Center at Brigham Young University.

Tickets are $9 or $6 with a BYU or student ID. Tickets can be purchased at the Fine Arts Ticket Office, by calling (801) 422-7664 or by visiting artix.byu.edu.

This Valentine’s Day performance, conducted by David Blackinton and Don Peterson, will feature grandiose music such as “Procession of Nobles,” while in the next breath perform music from “West Side Story” and even a little polka.

BYU study finds the real reasons why some people choose not to use artificial intelligence

In a recent study, BYU professors Jacob Steffen and Taylor Wells explored why some people are still reluctant to use GenAI tools. While some people might worry about an AI apocalypse, Steffen and Wells found that most non-users are more concerned with issues like trusting the results, missing the human touch or feeling unsure if GenAI is ethical to use.
