BYU Television to broadcast BYU-Michigan State men's basketball Dec. 8

On Saturday, Dec. 8, BYU Television will provide live coverage of the BYU men’s basketball team’s match-up against Michigan State.The game will originate from the Energy Solutions Arena in Salt Lake City, and tip-off is at 2 p.m. (MT).

Coming off a 72-57 victory over Weber State University, the 7-1 Cougars are ranked no. 19 nationally, while Michigan State is ranked no. 9.

BYU Television is available in 45 million homes throughout Utah and the United States on the Dish Network, DirecTV and approximately 180 cable systems. The station also provides a live program stream via the Internet at www.byutv.org.

BYU prof whose research touches lives across Pacific, honored as Big 12 Conference Faculty of the Year

Biology professor Rick Gill is one of 16 faculty — one from each Big 12 school — to receive the Big 12 Conference Faculty of the Year honor, awarded for innovation and research on each faculty member’s respective campuses. The awards were started in 2024, and Gill is BYU’s second honoree (following Charles Graham), which goes to dedicated faculty who “represent and reflect all the best attributes that make a college campus a bastion for learning and growth."
