BYU Symphony Orchestra to perform Bloch's Concerto Grosso March 18

The Brigham Young University Symphony Orchestra will appear in concert Wednesday, March 18, at 7:30 p.m. in the de Jong Concert Hall, Harris Fine Arts Center.

Tickets are $6 and can be purchased online at www.byuarts.com, by phone at (801) 422-4322 or in person at the Harris Fine Arts Center Ticket Office.

Under the direction of Eric Hansen, the orchestra will perform works by Brahms and Dvorak, as well as Ernest Bloch’s rarely-heard Concerto Grosso.

BYU’s space ace: Minor planet named in honor of Jani Radebaugh

BYU planetary geology professor Jani Radebaugh’s contributions to planetary science have reached cosmic proportions as she recently received the prestigious honor of having a minor planet named her. The asteroid, previously known as “45690,” now bears the name “45690janiradebaugh” on official NASA/JPL websites.
