BYU student receives research award from national Biophysical Society

J. Craig Moffat, Jr., a student at Brigham Young University, recently received a 2006 Student Research Achievement Award from the Biophysical Society at its 50th annual meeting in Salt Lake City.

Moffat, niominated for his work in permeation transport, was one of 13 winners picked out of 78 participants from across the nation. Each winner received recognition at an awards ceremony, as well as a monetary reward.

The Biophysical Society, founded in 1956, is a professional, scientific society established to encourage development and dissemination of knowledge in biophysics. Its members are located throughout the U.S. and the world, where they teach and conduct research at colleges, universities, laboratories, government agencies and industry workplaces.
