BYU student named fellow of Intercollegiate Studies Institute

A Brigham Young University student was awarded a spot as one of 50 2006-2007 Honors Fellows at the Intercollegiate Studies Institute in Wilmington, Del.

Alan Hurst, a political science student, was invited to participate in a year long program with ISI, which works to “educate for liberty.” Through the next academic year, Hurst will receive continuing direction from faculty mentors through small seminars and online discussions. These discussions will deal with both permanent questions and contemporary concerns regarding the concept of ordered liberty.

ISI faculty mentors and staff will provide one-on-one professional assistance to the each of the Honors Fellows, including information about internships, job opportunities, graduate and professional programs and related concerns.

Hurst will attend an ISI Career Development Seminar, designed to help prepare him for future positions of leadership. In addition, he will receive a large collection of books and journals.

For more information about ISI, or to arrange an interview with Alan Hurst, please contact Caitlin Anderson at (800) 526-7022 or media@isi.org.
