Speakers Thanasis Kottas and David Draper from the Department of Applied Mathematics and Statistics, Baskin School of Engineering, will present the topic of “Practical Bayesian Non-Parametric and Semi-Parametric Modeling.”

Bayesian non-parametric and semi-parametric methods are considerably amplifying the flexibility of the increasingly popular Bayesian models. This course will provide an introduction to these methods, with emphasis on modeling approaches, simulation-based model fitting and applications.
