BYU Slavic Club sponsors Talent Night for charity March 11

The Brigham Young University Slavic Club hosts a Talent Showcase Friday, March 11, at 7:30 p.m. in the Wilkinson Student Center Ballroom as part of the club's two-semester-long fundraising project, "Students for Children," helping orphans in Russia.

Admission is $5 and all proceeds go to the "Students for Children" cause. Tickets can be purchased at the Wilkinson Student Center information desk or at the door.

"Rather than send expensive containers of goods to the 10 targeted orphanages we are serving, we have been raising money to send to our correspondents who will allocate the raised funds, with the power of the dollar, to the assessed needs of the orphanages," said Brent Dance, president of the BYU Slavic Club.

The show will feature some of BYU's favorite performers including members of the International Folk Dance Ensemble, Young Ambassador soloists, BYU Russian Choir, the a cappella group The Skirts and many others.
