BYU Singers, Concert Choir featured in joint concerts Nov. 15-16

The Brigham Young University Singers and Concert Choir will take the stage Friday and Saturday, Nov. 15 and 16, at 7:30 p.m. in the de Jong Concert Hall, Harris Fine Arts Center.

Tickets are $10 for the general public, $9 for alumni and seniors and $6 for students and BYU employees. You can purchase tickets at byuarts.com/tickets or by calling the Fine Arts Ticket Office at (801) 422-2981.

The Concert Choir is conducted by Rosalind Hall with Mariah Wilson as graduate assistant conductor. They will be performing works by Mack Wilberg, Felix Mendelssohn, Ryan Gee, Stephen Paulus and Ola Gjeilo.

The BYU Singers, under the direction of conductor Ronald Staheli and graduate assistant conductors Patrick Tatman and Christopher Machado, will be performing songs by Thomas Weelkes, Richard Rodney Bennett, Daniel Kallman and others.

BYU’s space ace: Minor planet named in honor of Jani Radebaugh

BYU planetary geology professor Jani Radebaugh’s contributions to planetary science have reached cosmic proportions as she recently received the prestigious honor of having a minor planet named her. The asteroid, previously known as “45690,” now bears the name “45690janiradebaugh” on official NASA/JPL websites.
