BYU Singers, Concert Choir combine for concerts April 11-12

The Brigham Young University Singers and Concert Choir will join forces for the final time this year in their concerts “Something Old, Something New, Something Fancy, Something True” on Friday and Saturday, April 11-12, at 7:30 p.m. in the de Jong Concert Hall.

Tickets are $10 or $7 with a BYU or student ID. To purchase tickets, visit the Fine Arts Ticket Office, call (801) 422-4322 or visit artstix.byu.edu.

The performance will begin with “Sing On!” and “There is Sweet Music Here,” followed by two American folk hymns, three songs from their second CD of works by Eric Whitacre and three songs about rainy days.

The concert will conclude with the sections “Beautiful Songs of Yesteryear” —including “The Nearness of You,” “My Foolish Heart” and “Time After Time” — and four songs of “Love Gone Awry.”

The choirs are under the direction of Ronald Staheli and Rosalind Hall. For more information, contact Staheli at (801) 422-3169 or Hall at (801) 422-2272.
