The BYU School of Music presents the BYU Singers and Concert Choir in "Journey to Light" on Nov. 17 at 7:30 p.m. in the de Jong Concert Hall.
Tickets are $10, with discounts available for senior citizens, groups, alumni, students and employees. Tickets can be purchased in person at the BYU Ticket Office in the Harris Fine Arts Center or Marriott Center, by phone at 801-422-2981 or online at byuarts.com.
Conducted by Andrew Crane and Rosalind Hall, the BYU School of Music's two premier choral ensembles present an evening of Classical, sacred and contemporary works.
The BYU Singers, under the direction of conductor Andrew Crane will open the concert with three Baroque choruses, followed by two contemporary works --- "Flight Song" and "The Wings of the Wind" --- and three spirituals.
The Concert Choir, conducted by Rosalind Hall, will follow with numbers by Ivo Antognini and Edward Elgar and will end with "Light of a Clear Blue Morning" by Dolly Parton and "Mother to Son" by Dwight Bigler.
Both choirs will conclude the performance with "Now Let Us Rejoice," arranged by David Zabriskie.
