BYU School of Family Life plans Internship Fair Oct. 25

On Thursday, Oct. 25, students from the Brigham Young University School of Family Life will meet with at least 50 internship agencies at the School of Family Life Internship Fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Wilkinson Student Center.

Students in all marriage, family, and human development and home and family living emphases are encouraged to dress professionally and bring current resumes. The organizations represented at the fair are seeking interns to begin as early as January 2008. Lunch and prizes will be provided for students attending the fair.

According to planners, the fall 2007 fair will feature organizations specializing in prevention, intervention and treatment services for all age groups. Many of these organizations currently employ BYU students and eagerly seek new BYU interns.

Roberta Magarrell, internship administrator and coordinator, said students are encouraged to attend so they are able to “see a wider range of possibilities both in obtaining an internship and securing jobs in the field upon graduation.”
