BYU schedules Early Childhood Music Education classes

The Early Childhood Music Lab at Brigham Young University is now accepting applications for its Parent-Toddler and Music Explorers classes for the 2003-2004 year.

The tuition is $240 for 24 classes conducted on Saturday mornings September through April. Each class will enroll 12 students.

Children who are age 18 months to 32 months by Sept. 1 are eligible for the Parent-Toddler Class. This class will meet from 9 to 10 a.m. Each child must have at least one parent in attendance.

Children who are age 32 months to 48 months by Sept. 1 are eligible for the Music Explorers Class. This class will meet from 10:15 to 11:15 a.m. Parents are expected to attend.

Fall semester sessions will begin Saturday, Sept. 13 and will continue until Dec. 6. Winter semester classes will begin Jan. 10 and continue through April 3. Classes will be held in the Harris Fine Arts Center.

BYU’s space ace: Minor planet named in honor of Jani Radebaugh

BYU planetary geology professor Jani Radebaugh’s contributions to planetary science have reached cosmic proportions as she recently received the prestigious honor of having a minor planet named her. The asteroid, previously known as “45690,” now bears the name “45690janiradebaugh” on official NASA/JPL websites.
