BYU Salt Lake Center to host tailgate party Sept. 15

The Brigham Young University Salt Lake Center will host the first “Y vs. U Tailgate” at the Triad Center Saturday, Sept. 15, beginning at 1 p.m. The BYU and University of Utah football teams will play at Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake that night at 8 p.m.

The event will feature contests, prizes, food and access to a 22-foot inflatable screen with an HD projector where those in attendance can watch the football game. The contests and festivities will begin at approximately 6 p.m.

The BYU Salt Lake Center campus is located at the Triad Center, 345 W. North Temple. For those traveling by TRAX, the Triad Center is across from the TRAX Arena Station.

BYU study finds the real reasons why some people choose not to use artificial intelligence

In a recent study, BYU professors Jacob Steffen and Taylor Wells explored why some people are still reluctant to use GenAI tools. While some people might worry about an AI apocalypse, Steffen and Wells found that most non-users are more concerned with issues like trusting the results, missing the human touch or feeling unsure if GenAI is ethical to use.
