The September 2009 issue of U.S.News & World Report, which hits newsstands Monday, Aug. 24, ranks more than 1,400 four-year accredited colleges and universities by mission and region. BYU falls into the category of "national universities," which includes schools that offer a full range of undergraduate majors, plus master's and doctoral degrees.

The Fulton College of Engineering and Technology was also listed among the top engineering schools, with its undergraduate program ranked 85th.

In specialty categories, the Marriott School ranked 3rd in accounting, 18th in entrepreneurship, 20th in international business and 25th in management.

The top five institutions in the "national universities" category were Harvard and Princeton (tied for the top spot), followed by Yale, the California Institute of Technology and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
