BYU to raise 2010-2011 tuition rates 3 percent

Brigham Young University will raise tuition rates for the 2010-2011 academic year by 3 percent, which will bring the undergraduate rate per semester from $2,145 to $2,210, a raise of $65.

Next year's tuition for advanced-standing (graduate) students will be raised from $2,710 to $2,790 per semester, also an increase of 3 percent. Law School and Graduate School of Management students will pay $5,140, an increase of $150 or 3 percent.

Undergraduate tuition for spring and summer terms will also be raised 3 percent, increasing the rate from $1,073 to $1,105. Spring/summer 2011 rates for advanced-standing students will be $1,395, an increase of $40.

As in the past, students who are not members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will pay twice the listed rates, and those rates will also reflect the 3 percent increase.
