BYU Prelaw Review accepting submissions for 2008 issue

The Brigham Young University Prelaw Review is accepting submissions for its 2008 issue from all students on campus who would like to publish and/or receive editing experience.

Paper submissions will be accepted April 18-25 at 4 p.m. and June 18-21, also at 4 p.m. Papers can cover any legal topic and should be about eight to 13 pages in length.

To apply for an editorial position, pick up an application at the Prelaw Advisement Center, 3228 Wilkinson Student Center, and submit it by Wednesday, April 25 at 4 p.m. All prospective authors and editors will be notified by Monday, July 9. The review staff will meet in a one-credit class, StDev 198R, section three, which will meet Tuesdays from 2-2:50 p.m. Because legal writing skills and research will be taught during the course, paper selection will mainly be based on the development and analysis of the legal topic.

The review is one of only a few undergraduate law reviews in circulation. It is well recognized and sent to every law school in the country. The journal mirrors a typical law review found at any top-tier law school. It is entirely student-run and prepares students for law school as they present legal research using the law school citation system, Bluebook.
