BYU plans Winter Career/Internship Fair Jan. 26

BYU's campus-wide Winter Career/Internship fair will be Wednesday, Jan. 26, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Wilkinson Student Center Ballroom and Garden Court. Already 117 employers from business, financial, technical, government and nonprofit sectors are registered.

"This is the most employers we've registered for our winter fair in several years," said Arnold Parrott, director of Career Placement Services, "and we may have more sign up yet." He encouraged students to visit the eRecruiting student database and the Web site at careerfair.byu.edu to view which employers are coming and a schedule of employer information sessions.

Students and alumni from all colleges, departments and majors are invited. Many employers will conduct on-campus interviews on Thursday and Friday following the fair.

Students should bring resumes and to be prepared to ask well-researched questions. "Those 'good' questions come from research," Parrott added. "Students and alumni should research employers as much as possible and plan to spend considerable time at the fair. They should even visit twice or more throughout the day if possible."
