BYU Philharmonic, choirs to present "Easter Reflections" April 13-14

The Brigham Young University auditioned choirs and Philharmonic Orchestra will come together for “Easter Reflections,” a concert featuring classic songs of the Easter season, Friday and Saturday, April 13-14, at 7:30 p.m. in the de Jong Concert Hall.

Admission is $9 or $6 with a BYU or student ID. Tickets can be purchased at the Fine Arts Ticket Office, by calling (801) 422-7664 or by visiting performances.byu.edu.

The BYU Singers will headline the first half of the concert with “Cloudburst” by Eric Whitacre, “This Little Light of Mine” by Moses Hogan and “The Carpenter of Nazareth” by S. Gordon Jessop, among other pieces. Ronald Staheli will conduct the group.

Following the Singers, the Philharmonic Orchestra and choirs, led by Kory Katseanes, will present mass settings by Schubert, Mozart and Verdi. Finally, the orchestra will be joined by the Concert Choir, Women’s Chorus and Men’s Chorus for a rendition of “Agnus Dei” from the Requiem by Gabriel Fauré.
