BYU offers free concerts April 5-8

Money is no excuse for not attending one of four free concerts at Brigham Young University during the first week of April:

  • The Flute Choir will perform Wednesday, April 6, at 7:30 p.m. in the Madsen Recital Hall. The Flute Choir is one of two flute ensembles at BYU. This choir is for non-music majors and performs every year.

  • The University Band will appear Wednesday, April 6, at 7:30 p.m. in the de Jong Concert Hall. Conducted by Fred McInnis, this non-auditioned band provides an opportunity for many students across campus to continue performing concert literature in an evening class.

  • Jazz Combos will perform Thursday, April 7, at 7:30 p.m. in the Madsen Recital Hall. The concert features students performing in a variety of jazz combos.

  • Students of School of Music faculty member Scott Holden will present a studio piano recital Friday, April 8, at 7:30 p.m. in the Madsen Recital Hall.
