BYU offers EMT Basic class beginning Jan. 10

University Police and the Division of Continuing Education at Brigham Young University will sponsor an EMT Basic class Jan. 10-April 18 in the Joseph F. Smith Building.

Classes will be held every Tuesday and Thursday from 6-10 p.m. and on two Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Registration for the course is $750. Those interested in registering can visit http://ce.byu.edu/cw/emt/ or call (801) 422-4853.

Instructed by Dale Maughan, the class is designed to prepare and qualify students to take the Utah Emergency Medical Technician Basic written and practical tests for certification as an EMT-B.

The $750 course fee includes AHA Health Care Provider CPR certification, books, Utah State Certification fees, a police background check and training materials.
