BYU offers aerobics classes during spring, summer terms

Spring and summer term free play aerobics classes will start at Brigham Young University Monday, May 7, in the Richards Building.

Faculty, staff, students and their spouses, as well as anyone with a college ID, can register for both terms for $38, which includes classes three days per week. The general public may also take part for $43. Participants may register at 112 Richards Building.

Classes include water aerobics, power yoga, high-low “kardio kickbox,” pilates, “power sculpt ‘n’ tone” and “stepkardio.” The instruction is catered to each individual class as instructors gauge the ability of participants, so exercisers of all fitness levels are welcome.

“So many faculty and students to go the local gyms, but we have really well-equipped facilities right here,” said Barbara Neal, coordinator of the BYU Aerobic Fitness Program. “It’s a really fun, affordable way to get your fitness program in.”

A complete schedule of classes is available online at aerobics.byu.edu.

For more information, contact the Richards Building information line at (801) 422-3644.
