Christian Faulconer has been named as the new executive director of Student Academic and Advisement Services at Brigham Young University.
Student Academic Advisement Services helps students with admission, registration and financial aid during their time at BYU. As executive director, Faulconer will oversee the Admission department, Financial Aid department, Registrar’s Office and BYU OneStop. He will report to both Academic and Student Life vice presidents.
"We are pleased that Christian has accepted the position of executive director of SAAS," said Jan Scharman, Student Life vice president. "We have had the opportunity to see him in action this past year and appreciate his expertise and enthusiasm for the work. Christian has the full confidence of the administration in this appointment."
Faulconer had been serving as the interim executive director of the division since March 2016. Previous to BYU, Faulconer was an executive for a handful of businesses as an entrepreneur and a management consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Faulconer is an alumnus of the Marriott School of Accountancy, where he received both his bachelor's and master's degrees.
