BYU musical theatre students plan Broadway audition previews April 5-6

In preparation for spring auditions in New York and Los Angeles, graduating seniors from the Music Dance Theatre program at Brigham Young University will present at the BFA Senior Showcase Tuesday and Wednesday, April 5 and 6, at 7 and 9:30 p.m. in the Nelke Theatre.

Tickets for the event cost $5 in advance or $6 the day of the performance. All proceeds from the ticket sales will contribute to student travel and expenses for their auditions. For tickets, visit byuarts.com/tickets or call (801) 422-4322.

The four performances provide an opportunity for the campus community to see and experience the singing and dancing talent before the students travel to the nation’s entertainment capitals and audition in front of industry professionals.

The BFA Senior Showcase is directed by Tim Threlfall and is sponsored annually by the Department of Theatre and Media Arts.

For more information about the showcase, contact Threlfall at (801) 422-8133 or timothy_threlfall@byu.edu. Learn more about BYU’s Music Dance Theatre program at cfacbeta.byu.edu/departments/music/mdt.
