BYU Lee Library Web site receives national recognition

Brigham Young University Harold B. Lee Librarywon the Best of Show Award from the Library Administration and Management Association and will be recognized at the American Library Association Annual Conference in Anaheim, Calif., on June 29.

Out of more than 360 entries judged by a team of experts in librarianship, public relations and marketing, BYU’s Management, Economics and Government Information Web page — http://www.lib.byu.edu/business — was recognized for its promotional expertise. Web designer Tom DeForest and business librarians Leticia Camacho and Andy Spackman are named on the award.

“Everyone knows that our business and accounting schools are highly thought of,” said Roger Layton, BYU library communications manager, “but the library is happy to note that our business librarians are doing just as well in their role of supporting faculty and students.

Libraries of all types and sizes submitted promotional material from the 2007 year that was judged based on content, originality, design, format and effectiveness.
