BYU landscape architect to discuss campus landscape plan in Nov. 28 lecture

On Wednesday, Nov. 28, Brigham Young University landscape architect Bruce Maw will discuss his design philosophy, campus projects and BYU’s comprehensive landscape plan in his lecture “University Spaces to Public Places.”

The free presentation will be held at 3 p.m. in the DeLamar Jensen Lecture Room, 1130 Harold B. Lee Library. A question-and-answer session will follow. The public is welcome.

Maw is a licensed landscape architect, a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects and a graduate of Utah State University. He has worked in all aspects of landscape architecture, including residential and urban park design, large-scale planning and public facilitation. Maw has provided design services in campus and institutional planning at BYU since 1996.

This lecture is part of L. Tom Perry Special Collections’ current exhibition, "Designing BYU: Planning +Architecture + Landscape,” located on the first floor of the library. The exhibit will run through May 2008.
