The Brigham Young University School of Music presents the Jazz Combo Tuesday, April 13, at 7:30 p.m. in the Madsen Recital Hall.
The performance is free and the public is welcome to attend.
The concert will feature several student jazz combos, including hard bop, cool jazz, hot jazz, tuba jazz and salsa combo.
Music on the program will include jazz standards from Duke Ellington, Dizzy Gillespie and Thelonious Monk.
"The focus of the concert is to have a showcase for students working on their improvisational skills," said director Steve Call. "You'll hear a wide variety of music as well as a wide variety of instruments."
